Fields of Belonging
Fields of Belonging is a contemplative collection of landscape works inspired by memory, atmosphere, and the emotional connection we form with place.
Created through both observation and reflection, these paintings explore the quiet dialogue between land, light, weather, and belonging. Open fields, distant horizons, shifting skies, and pathways through the landscape become more than physical locations, they become spaces of remembrance, stillness, and emotional resonance.
Rather than simply depicting scenery, this collection seeks to capture the feeling of being held by a place: the comfort of familiar landscapes, the pull of memory carried through changing light, and the deep sense of connection that certain environments awaken within us.
Rooted in attentiveness and emotional atmosphere, Fields of Belonging reflects an ongoing exploration of home, identity, and the subtle poetry found within the natural landscapes of Aotearoa New Zealand.
Thinking of Home Collection
Thinking of Home is a collection of small oil paintings exploring home as both place and feeling. Through quiet houses, softened landscapes, winding paths, and fields of flowers, the works reflect on memory, belonging, solitude, and refuge.
Each painting holds a sense of stillness and intimacy, suspended between lived experience and remembrance. Finished with genuine copper leaf edges, the collection carries a quiet warmth, inviting reflection on the places we return to emotionally, even when they exist only in memory.
